A Note On My Absence

I realize it’s been four months since I last posted. And that last post was a doozy, eh? But, Tiny recovered just fine, thank the gods, and she’s my happy little puppy. She enjoys chewing on things she shouldn’t, but hopefully I’m going to be able to remedy this with some very chew-friendly doggy toys.

On the noveling front, I’ve begun working on last year’s NaNo project again. It’s a story I’ve been wanting to tell for a while, and I am determined to make it to the words The and End for Draft Zero. Yes, it is still Draft Zero, because I spent a great deal of time lamenting over the plot and just how the Great Big Horribleness really gets going and just who is telling the story. Most of these, I hope, have been completely resolved. While the story itself will be in third person, there will be three main people the tale will be following. Maybe one day I’ll go in depth on who my beloved chess pieces characters are, but not until I at least finish the first draft or so. For now, I’ll just say they are a Five Man Band thrust against the horrible rocks that is fate.

In regards to those hip-totally-not-happening writing challenges that have been languishing over there under the tab of the same name, I honestly completely forgot about them. And the blog, obviously. Between Tiny, and working, and (more recently) Final Fantasy XIV, and Skyrim, and Mass Effect, I have had neither the time nor the motivation to sit down and really work on things. his is something I am working on remedying, so hopefully things will pick up around these here parts.
